does anyone know Mickleover near Derby I was trying to find a garden centre that I visited about 3 years ago (family party so I know the year was 2010)
it was quite near to the Mickleover Court Hotel, turning left from the Hotel it was down a lane over the A38 ,but we just couldn,t find it again yesterday,
I have Googled but can only find Findern but that is not the same one.

it was down a dead end lane where you could see the A38 at the bottom ,only a couple of mins from the hotel, and you turned right to the car park with the road visible on the left, the doorway was just in front on the left hand side near the fence , it was an automatic sliding door ,I think there were ornaments just inside the door first of all, not sure about any café,there were some sheds or conservatories across the other side of the car park
My first thought when I saw this post was Markeaton Garden centre but you say no.
Are you sure you didn't travel further than you think? It's easily done :) this one's very near the A38

no not those either, Rosetta your's was the Findern one,
it was only a very short way from the hotel, I have it in my note book as Mickleover but not the name of the company.I have just had a look at Google maps and the main road near the hotel is the A516 not the A38 actually, the road round the hotel is a figure of eight shape it would have been around the lower half of the loops .

in that case I think it must have been when we were looking at hotels around there before we went to that one in 2010 if it was 2 years earlier,it just didn,t seem so long ago.
I have been having another look at the maps too,I was using Ordnance Survey on my phone and we were in the right place but is shows a school on that side now , Google earth still has the photo of the garden centre.
