Top Soil

I have had many huge deliveries of Boughton Loam top soil in my attempt to make a nice garden.....it was fine but more claggy than I expected once it had settled and had a winter.

I'm now need some really good top soil.....not a huge amount.... to finish off some beds.

Can anyone recommend a good top soil that I can collect in bags from a garden centre, please?

Ah...should have said, Tony.....have used loads of soil conditioner and sand. There is nothing this garden hasn't had.....even a statue of the Virgin Mary...x

B&Q sell top soil in bags but don't know about its quality as I haven't bought any.

Yes......the first bit I did three years ago is not too bad....but I just need to top up some bits that have settled low and would like some good top soil to do it.

I miss the beautiful soil in my last garden I think.....x

Hi, Knitty......I bought some in bags from a garden centre but to be honest it looks and feels a bit poor.....though I could buy one bag of B&Q and give it a try....thanks....x
