I`ve found what was eating the flowers on my blackcurrant bush. Some of the leaves are folded over and when I prise them apart, they are bound with a very fine sort of cobweb type material which houses a miniscule caterpillar which is about 1cm long and 1mm wide. What could it be? I can`t find anything of that type on the internet regarding common blackcurrant pests.

Well I found out from the advice service at the garden centre what it is - it`s Blackcurrant Gall Midge (just in case anyone else has the same problem)
