Would Anyone Know If Cut Up Cooking Apples Left All Night In

salt water be ok to carry on and cook? I was given some cooking apples and the lady said put them in salt water to stop going brown....which it has ...I usually use lemon juice. Anyway put them in soak in a dish last night and forgot to rinse and cook them.? Until I saw them this morning...will they be ok to eat now.? many thanks

Just rinse off the salt water and cook them, no problem.

Last night I put the cut pieces of two bramleys in lots of lemon juice and left them for several hours. There was hardly any brown on them when I came to use them. Salt sounds absolutely wrong to me.

Just rinse them off and cook them, adding more sugar if necessary.

Many thanks all.... I rinsed them well and tasted them..they are fine...one thing I did find strange thing.. all the apples had turned soft as If they had been cooked..however I did cook them.
