asked the younger albas to seriously prune a tree in the front garden which has been getting on our nerves and by jingo, they have pruned it !!

Neighbour came out with offer of tree loppers too, which has been gratefully received.

Neighbours, when you have nice ones, are wonderful aren't they?

It certainly is good to know that you have good neighbours. I normally put my car in my garage overnight, but, because my nearside mirror was damaged recently, I had to park the car on my drive. My next-door neighbour noticed this change in my routine, and came to ask if everything was OK.

I'm lucky too with my neighbours, not in your face but will always step into help if required. We decided to not move as you may be able to buy a nice house but you can't buy good neighbours.

On the subject of pruning Mr Cake is banned after pruning a climber sub-terrainionly! Not surprisingly, it didn't survive, Mr Cake had a few bruises and spent over a week picking fleas from his ears :-)

I live in a row of 5 houses we don't neighbour in and out our houses but all help one another if needed . Can't beat good neighbours and all neighbourhood watch .
