Anyone any experience of this? It's sort of very dark blue in the tin and when it goes on the table it's still bluey but I can see it's sort of browny too. I can only assume it dries walnut as it says on the tin, it is Ronseal after all!
// if that’s the case. // Don't be churlish ZM. No "if" about it. I was keeping that info up my sleeve Mints. Needless to say TTT can rest assured that I am not one to be malicious........plus having had sight of him, would not relish a ferocious biker on my doorstep. (^_*)
The chemical composition of it presumably makes it look blue when looking at several centimetres depth...an applied layer is many thousands of times "thinner"....so no blue colour.
I think the blue pigment is an anti "yellowing" agent TTT. Still you will have a lovely "tan" or have to move up to Scotland with all the other Picts until it wears off. :))
Just slightly TTT. btw that link may be showing more info than you may wish. I think you ought to ask for it to be removed. If you look at a colour spectrum wheel you will see that blue is opposite yellow. I think the blue tinge is, as I said, to prevent yellowing after uv exposure.
Me: It might be an anti discolouration additive
Tora: I bought walnut, I want walnut
Togo: I think the blue pigment is an anti "yellowing" agent / I think the blue tinge is, as I said, to prevent yellowing after uv exposure.
Tora: cheers togo, owe you one
Yeah Minty. TTT's link came with personal info that could have been used by the malicious. In two minutes I was able to find where he lived, who he worked for, and a picture of him in his motorcycling gear.
