A friend of mine (too far away for me to visit) also had to use 2 crutches to get around. I managed to find her two screw top non-leak containers. One was mug and the other slightly larger. One she used for drinks and the larger one for soup and other meals she could fit in. She also had a pinny with long ties so it could be fastened at the front and a very large pocket in which she put the cutlery she wanted and wrapped biscuits and sandwiches. A mutual friend made her a pouch to carry her phone in. The containers and the pouch she wore round her neck using ribbons.
thanks for the suggestion, though i am unsure how to carry anything on two crutches, tried eating in the kitchen but that proved just as hard as need both hands for the crutches.
sorry its sounding as though i am not being helpful, believe me when i say this is the worst pain imaginable even with the meds.
emmie : she could not stand either and was in very great pain which she knew was never going to get better but she managed by being careful and positive.
unfortunately Lj, i have arthritis in other knee and both hips, which makes it hard to do much at all, though i am having to get up and down to use the bathroom, toilet etc.
