Garden Fence
1 Answers
Can anyone advise me of a good plant to disguise an ugly fence. The fence is semi-shaded in a dryish part of the garden. Nothing to evaise such as russian vine. Would wisteria be good interspersed with something else. Any ideas please?

Akebia quinata (Chocolate vine) seens to fit your criteria if you dig in plenty of organic matter to help with long term water retention, its self suporting too.
If you are fond of ivy, there are many types to choose from, variegated ones can brighten a gloomy corner or for something unusual Hedera helex 'Parsley Crested is a nice green ivy. Hope thats given you some food for thought.
