Wilting herbs

We've planted a load of herbs in different planters on our patio. We've been watering them and they were planted in a good soil/compost mix.

They were all doing well (chives, oregano, rosemary, basil, mint, parsley) until 2 weeks ago when the basil went yellow and just withered away.

Now the mint has stared to do the same from the leaves at the bottom but spreading upwards.

We can't see any flys on them and everything else is still doing very well.

Any ideas??

If you water them during the day the roots come up and the sun burns them... try watering them after the sun goes down.

Don't know how true it is, just something i heard.

It sounds more like a nutrient deficiency rather than a pest problem. check out a good all round, general plant tonic that contains all the vital nutrients, tomato feed may do the trick. Good Luck.
