prunung a Yukka plant

I have got an outdoor Yukka plant which has just flowered I have cut the flower stems off but the plant is getting too big is there a specific way to prune this plant or can I just hack it about

Hi 3cameron7,
Hacking it about sounds a bit extreme to me! but pruning the stem with a pruning saw usually encourages it to sprout new growth. If you end up with a bare stubb above where it sprouts from, cut it back a little further to just above the ner growth to avoid die back and hopefully you can start all over again. Good Luck Tbird+
