Not in my back yard......!
what's your pet hate in the garden? (apart from cat poo that is)
or any funny stories?
I hate yukkas - horrible things. I don't understand why they're popular & I cut my arm on one last year simply walking past it....
...and those walls made entirely from decorative screen blocks which became popular in the 70s, ugh!....
sorry if I've now alienated all gardeners on here!
I've never forgotten that once on gardeners question time a guest was advised to prune her ground cover roses to 6 inches above the ground. When Bob Flowerdew gave his answer he said he'd prefer them all to be pruned 6 inches below the ground .... :o)

I spent hours on my knees every year trying to dig up every little bit and put it in the dustbin so it doesn't regenerate in my compost heat. Yet every Spring, I get out into the garden again, and there it is, popping up its dammned little shoots again. Enough to make you weep!.
