I have a black stemed bamboo in a large pot, but would like to put it in the ground,
can anyone tell me if the roots would be intrusive,
I would be grateful for any advice on all Bamboo plants,
Thanks

Most bamboo's Do have invasive roots and can form thickets, which can be a problem if you dont have much space, what you can do however is plunge a large pot (black plastic will do) into the ground to make it look as though it's planted straight into the open ground while constricting and controlling the roots. apart from that method, you can buy a plastic root-barrier or sink tiles oe such-like into the ground and cover any edges still showing with some mulch. Good luck Tbird+
