Blade sharpening service for lawnmower

Hi, can anyone tell me where I can go to get my hover mower blade sharpened in Manchester? Surely I don't need to buy a new blade every Summer?

Sharpening a hover mower blade is a piece of pi...
Follow the instructions in the "Owners manual" on how to remove the blade. Then place the blade in a vice and file it 'till you have a new edge. It really is that easy but be careful not to take more metal off one side than t'other as this can put the blade out of balance

there must be a hardware shop or some thing near you?........ i sharpen lawnmowers blades and i charge �3 but i am no where near manchester??

ceejay - Thanks for getting back, The first thing I did was look for the owners manual, lost in the very tidy 'spare' room! No problem getting the blade off, was just unsure of what to do from there. Thought it had to be done by someone who knows about these things! O.k, I'll give it a go, cheers!

rugelyboy - Searched my local phonebook under hardware, think they're a long gone tradition, like 'awkrights' corner shop! Also contacted Flymo's website, they are only interested in selling you a new blade, thanks for your reply anyway!
