hey spikey bob
we have a cast iron chimnea last night we lit it and had toasted marshmallow kebabs they were good! all gooey and warm! i highly recommend one! (of the kebabs!!)
if you get an iron one you can use wood or charcoal but a clay one can only burn wood as the coal gets too hot and it will crack the clay
do look around before you get one though, our one can be used as a mini bbq and has a front door guard and cost us 60 in wilkinsons, we saw the same one in B &Q and it was 140!! good luck choose wisely :-) x

Hi I have a clay chimnea nad have had it for a long time, it is lovely you can only burn wood on it and you need to be sure the following day will be dry as they dont like to get wet and it takes ages to cool down, also if i'm feeling lazy and use a disposable bbq i throw the charchols onto it and it smells lovely, good luck.
