My dark brown leather sofas are cracking on the seats a bit and you can see the light colour coming through, whats the best thing to treat them with, to stop them cracking anymore and to disguise the cracks?

Hi Sarah, We have always used "connolys hide food "on our leather chesterfield, and it is superb, no sign of cracking on it and it is about 10 years old, give it a try, good luck, Ray
Please do not use hide food as it really does not do leather any good. If the colour underneath is showing lighter it sounds as though you have a 2 tone leather and the top colour has come off. You need to get a technician to look at this and restore the finish. Using hide food or anything with oils in it will swell the cracks and then any restoration will not be possible as the pigments will not stick.
