I have 2 (outside) where the flowers have now died and I don't know whether I should remove the dead flowers or the whole stalk? or leave alone!

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Just to follow on from Jules good advice, if your Arum lily has the long fangled name 'Zantedeschia', aka cala lily, then they are only just about hardy in the UK and may benifit from a good thick mulch of farm yard manure in the autumn and again in the spring to protect the crowns from frost as they start to emerge next year.
If they're in pots, then of course they can go inside over winter.

Thanks for your help. They are Zantedeschia aethiopica and I suppose I just took a chance and planted 3 earlier this year. Living in the North of Scotland, it was a gamble but so far they seem to be weathering well. One is still in full bloom so I suppose I'll just have to hope they survive winter! Thanks again for all advice.
