Whats eating my plants?

I posted this on the General not realising there was a specific garden section - so I have posted this here as well

I have a wild bergamot (Monarda didyma) and the leaves are going brown. I also have a osteospermum(Lavender Bliss)and some darn varmint is eating the leaves - I don't think it's slugs - what else can it be?

Any help with these two plants will be very much appreciated
