i want to completly re-locate a camellia. when would be the best time to do this ?and what compost would be best for it?

We've had no problem with moving Camellias/Azaleas/rhododendron. Dig up with a good rootball. They do not like alkali soil and remember not to site them where they get the early morning sun. Camellia move without too much pain. I sugest you move it in early - mid Autumn. Buy the specialist compost. It will be well worth it.
