repotting plants

HI, I have a plan from the cactus family, I think its common name is money tree or money plant. Its getting very big and needs repotting, can i reduce the size of both the plant and its roots without killing the plant?

Hello! I think this may be difficult. Sometimes these plants grow large,flower and die. They are however very easy to root from a leaf. Often as the leaves fall from the plants small roots are visible. Take a few leaves, plant around the edge of a 4inch pot and you'll have new plants very quickly.
