picturemate compatible cartridges?

I have an epson picture mate printer and wanted to buy a couple of the printer catridges (T557) but do not want the packs including the paper.
I bought a pcline E-557 compatible one from PCWorld but the printer just keeps displaying a message saying catridge cannot be recognised - use original epson one.
Has any one come across this and if so is there a way round this prob?

Jettec Cartridges are imo top quality compatible cartridges for Epson printers, been using them for years with no problems. Actually heard an Epson engineer reccommend them over their own!
Been ordering them online from the same place for many years, almost 24hr service.

I had my picturemate cartridge refilled at Cartridge World at half the price of the Epson cartridge. Results were the same as the Epson cartridge.
