Avacado plant loosing leaves

Have you any idea why,every time i grow an avocado,it gets about a foot high then the leaves go brown and fall off.

Hi, I can' be sure, but perhaps your soil isn't 100% suitable for growing avo's. Have you tried using a fertilizer?

I don't know if you have central heating - sometimes the air can be too dry..but my friend grows hers outside and it thrives...
