It's such a shame you can't overcome your fear of frogs, cos they're such nice little creatures. Couldn't you start by holding a tiny baby one, you may get hooked. If not, have a word with a neighbour, they may want them for their pond.
Try removing standing water and damp shady areas to discourage them from staying put. If you have frogspawn in a pond that you want to get rid of then introduce a few goldfish into your pond or give the spawn to a school.
But only get rid of them if you REALLY must, because they are totally harmless, and do wonders for the eco-system of your garden, killing off all kinds of pests, and generating huge new numbers of themselves every Spring with the slightest encouragement. In today's urban nightmare, garden frogs are a rare and happy privilege for a hard-working gardener.
