suggestions for llandudno plant gift

We're visiting friends in Lladudno this w/end and we'd like to take them a gift of a plant or shrub for the garden.
Any suggestions as to what would grow well in that area.
we've no idea as to what soil conditions etc or what they already have.. �20/�30 ish to spend.
