Germinating peas

Trying to grow peas for the first time this year but they don't seem to want to germinate - any tips?

Did you steep them overnight in water? Don't sow them too deep and try a piece of polythene over them until they appear. Good luck!
Yes, I'd recommend soaking them overnight or at least for a few hours first, and if possible, sow them in a row of guttering until they germinate, rather than outdoors where mice or slugs usually make a meal of the germinating shoots before they have a change to peep through the soil. Once they've germinated you can slide the peas, complete with compost, into ridges outside to get them off to a good start.
stick them in the saled draw of the fridge for a week before planting the soil being warmer than the fridge tricks them into thinking its spring
