Fly Eggs?

Hi. Hope someone can help. I've noticed over the past couple of days or so what I think are tiny black eggs on floors in my house. They are only a couple of millimetres in length and in irregular shaped groups of 20 or so. You can see them in patches on the hard surface flooring in my house. I live in an area surrounded by farms, so I thought at first they were fly eggs - not too sure now though.

Fly eggs are white, not black. Can't think of any insect that lays black eggs.

It is puzzling why any insect would place its eggs on a hard floor. They usually lay them near or on where the hatched larva find their food. Are you sure it isn't the dropping of a large farm fly that spent the night on the ceiling above?
Also could be spider poo, or mouse. Do you notice a weird smell around. If so you may have a mouse.
Oh Ethel! Trust you to find a piccy of flypoo. Is there nothing that can't be found on the Net? lol
Sounds as if it could be mouse poo.
