our property has an alleyway that allows us to access our back garden from our front garden. This alleyway adjoins another neighbours property but is on our property and runs under our house. It also shows on the title deeds that this alleyway is part of our property.
Before moving here the neightbours had moved the fence in our back garden to allow them access to their back garden through our alleyway.
Are we able to move the fence back into its original position which will block any access into their back garden and mean they will have to go through their own property to access this or are we able to add a lockable gate to the alleyway and not give them a key?

On your title deeds does have either a yellow line or green line running down the path? Does it say right of way reserved? If it does then unfortunately, theres very little you can do. On the other hand if nothing is set out in the deeds, your neighbours will not have any access rights whatsoever.
