Lavender shrub and azaleas

Could anybody tell me if its possible to move a lavender bush -if so when is the best time to do it ..also -why did my azelia shrub only produce one bloom this year -lots of healthy leaves -last year i had lots of flowers .Any help much appreciated thanks

The lavender can be moved depending on how big it is. If it is a very old established one then it may not be so easy but if fairly small and you are able to dig up a large enough root ball then you should be ok. Move it either late Autumn or better still, early spring.

For the Azalea, my guess would be it is suffering from lime soil. Azaleas like acidic soil so need feeding with ericaceous feed to ensure the soil ph is correct.
As well as Hawkwalk's good advice, now is a good time take cuttings from your lavender. If your old plant doesn't survive it's upheaval at least you'll have some free ones for the future.
