I have just built a wooden arch down the bottom of my garden. I need to know some climbing evergreen plants which flower in summer any idea?

Most of the climbing plants I like are deciduous, like honey suckles and clematis but there a few nice semi-evergreen like Akebia- quinata. You could always go for a variegated ivy.
star jasmine is evergreen and has lovely scented flowers. You could also put a mix of plants up, some evergreen and some flowering if you want it covered all year
sorry forgot, latin name trachelospermum jasminoides

My Japanese honesuckle  (lonicera japonica ) keeps it's leaves unless the weather becomes very severe.( I live in Derbyshire). I think woofgang's suggestion of a mixture is a good idea as you have a succession of interest. I have a blue clematis 'Lasurstern' scrambling amongst 2 different honeysuckles, & if they're your thing don't forget climbing roses.

There are also some evergreen clematis. You could do a search at google with 'evergreen clematis'
