Could anybody advise me how to prune a three year old bluberry bush? Is it the right time of year to do so?

Thanks.

Excellent! Thanks Hawkwalk.
I have been growing Blueberries now for the past four years and have done little pruning other than to give the bushes a nice shape.
Blueberries basically follow a three-year production cycle. The only pruning needed during this time is to remove any twiggy branches that have produced fruit and will obviously do no more, or branches trailing on the ground.
If you get the chance to purchase the February edition of "Grow it" magazine there is an interesting article written by Jennifer Trehane on Blueberries
Good luck
