We're having Roast top rump, roast potatoes, yorkshire pud, carrots, peas, sprouts (purple ones), broccoli, asparagus, cabbage, runner beans and gravy. Got no horseradish, so I'll have to make do with mustard.
Are you staying in or going out? What's on your menu today?
Hi No,
I've just talked myself in to a roast for six! Slow cooker pork, roasties, mash, roast parsnips, veg & gravy. Followed by wafer baskets with cornish icecream & fresh fruits of the forest!
Sqad - I had the joint of beef in my suitcase (currently on special offer in Tesco), PG tips, Nescafe, HP brown sauce, Branston pickle, a sponge cake in my hand luggage, but I went and forgot the bl00dy horseradish!!!
ever since i was little we've always had one every week sometimes two or three times and i'm just fed up. plsu thelamb and beef we always get is chewy and dad steals the crispy chicken skin and the porks normally dry.
most meals we only have once every two or three weeks which means i don't get fed up of them.
I expect I shall be having a decadent marmite and crisp sandwich, followed by pineapple chunks and all washed down with a can of Lilt.... Classy Bird, me!!!
champ--Norn Iron cuisine
scallions cut up and added to mashed potatoes -( mash in with the spuds)- make a well in the middle when you serve it and put in a lump of butter
I am cooking it, but I've only got a little plug in oven in the kitchen. There's a proper oven downstairs in the underbuild, but I can't be bothered going up and down the stairs all day. The roasties are currently occupying the oven.
Don't swear in my presence!!! The batter mix is made and sitting in the fridge (best when cold mixture is poured into smoking hot oil). The veggies are all prepared. I've just put the meat into the oven when the taters come out, and when the meat is resting, the yorkshires will go in, and the potatoes will go back in ten minutes before serving.
