John Cushnie has had a heart attack and has died. I`m sure everyone who lisens to Gardeners Question Time on Sundays Radio 4 @ 2pm will miss his Irish voice and funny quips. RIP John, and may you find a beautiful garden in Heaven.

Carlton thanks for posting this, I had no idea that John had died, it's very sad news. He seemed to be lovely man & at 66 was too young to go. His wit, humour & expertise will be very much missed.
I agree with all that has been said.
I wonder if you realise that there is to be a special tribute Gardener's Question Time to
John on next weeks programme.
Thanks Bromsgrove...

(BBC Radio 4 on Friday 15 January 2010 & repeated on Sunday 17 January).
I have made this post sticky for 3 days.

It is a sad loss.

All the best

This is a total surprise & shock to me....I used to listen to him on R4 -What a brilliantly funny man he was & such an expert in his field. He will be greatly missed and irreplaceable.....So sad. RIP
