The bay tree.
I have a bay tree in my garden, well, a very large shrub which has reached about twenty feet in height. You'd think I need never buy another bayleaf as long as I live. The problem is that the leaves from it taste of absolutely nothing. It doesn't matter whether they are put into stews and casseroles when they are fresh or when dried. Can anyone please explain this and yes, it definitely is a bay?
