Tomatoes splitting..!
This is my first year at growing tomatoes .... I have got three known varieties and two unknown. They are all at various stages of ripening.
I have watered them faithfully every day, but since the weather has cooled down I have been watering them every other day.
The problem I have, is a few of them are splitting.
Is this normal or am I missing something.

A plant goes through a “hardening off” period after it has a spurt of growth, which would not occur if all of the growing elements (fertilizer, water, heat, etc.) remained somewhat constant. This “hardening off” happens to the fruit and the skin. Once the skin has hardened off, if the fruit has another growth spurt, the skin will not be able to stretch to contain the fruit inside it, hence the cracking or splitting.

Out weather has changed now and we have had plenty rain, but the toms are in raised beds ... so the soil still feels a little dry. I have noticed the ones in pots seem to have done much better than the ones in the soil though.
It seems the only answer is to eat as many as possible before they split ... ?
Thanks for that guys..!
