I have bought a second hand greenhouse that il be collecting next weekend. It will have to be dismantled and transported back home in bits then rebuilt in my garden. I have not yet made a base for it to stand on,I intend to have open soil inside the greenhouse. I have seen some examples of them stood on breeze blocks and other of concreat strips. would it be best to make a trench and fill it with concreate then drill through and screw it down? Iv had pollytunnels in the recent past blow away with all the winds and dont want to see my greenhouse blown over and smashed!

Is it aluminium or timber framed?
Small concrete footing, 1 or 2 courses brickwork and screw down the frame base. If poss use brass screws. If it is a timber frame you will need to use a damp proof course.
