What is a common name for a woman aged around 45-55 in the UK? It would mean she would have been born between 1955-1965, so what names were fashionable then?
I'm inventing a character for something for work btw, not planning to change my name!

There weren't many Tracys, Sharons or Darrens around in 1955. Plenty of Trevors, though. Incidentally, I once read a very funny sketch based around the popularity or otherwise of names. It was set in a nursing home, many years in the future. Nurse Eunice turns up for night duty to relieve Nurse Gertrude. On asking for an update she is informed that old Chantelle has been a right pain all day, whilst Kayleigh-Anne has wet the bed three times. Old Troy had been continually exposing himself, but not to worry, as charge-nurse Horace was going to slip something into their cocoa.
