dont count your proverbial chickens too soon, zzxxee - down here in the SW they are forecasting wintry showers next week, especially Tuesday......no mention of how far down and what altitude.....
Leaves appearing on the rose bushes and even primulas left from last year flowering. Daffodils not out yet but are about six inches tall. Next doors will be flowering by the end of next week. If winter comes can spring be far behind?
Amazing! my bulbs are pushing through but nowhere near flowering but I`ve had primroses/primulas out a long time-wish I had more snowdrops. I understand that it`s best to plant them `in the green`. Yes, it`s good to see the garden slowly recovering from the winter.
What part of the country are you in zzxxee? Snowdrops out in the midlands, some crocuses too, but daffs still short and green.
As for irises, they don't normally flower til may!
I'm in London and my Lilac tree has flower buds all over it...also a Hydrangea has little white flowers on it... I think I must live in an alternate universe.
