I wonder if anyone has any ideas for a modern flower arrangement. "A taste of the Orient" or "Darkness to Light." Its for our local flower show. For the taste of the Orient my husband suggested a Pot Noodle pot with a carrot in it, but I dont think thats quite what I,m looking for. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance to any artistic AB'ers

A taste of the orient could include a few exotic fruits and how about making plant sushi with rolled leaces to include ' rice stuffing' could be half open roses and the wrapping phormium or iris leaves...on a platter of fatsia leaf with the floral component being a simple arrangement of fiery orange chrysanthemum (national flower of Japan) or ferns and light...

I think I would look at bright pink orchids in a shallow container!....... and maybe, try to find some oriental grasses to enhance them!......I would keep it very simple, but structural!........make it stand out in a very simple but structural way!.............good luck!.......(ps saw your comment on chatterbank!......not good to not get any comments!)
Depends how you interpret Orient, but spicy spiky blooms, some chopsticks in their somewhere, some bamboo fronds? (a nice little stuffed panda would set it off well, too, LOL!)
Why not cheat (by nicking a few ideas from others)?

For 'A Taste of the Orient', this perhaps?
