Can anyone recommend a paint that that would go well with a pale green carpet - it's for a large east-facing bedroom? I want to avoid anything with a yellow tinge.
TIA

I'm no expert on colour schemes, anne, but there's one thing I've found. Creams are either red-tinged (eg County Cream) or they're green-tinged (eg Buttermilk). It's personal preference, but I would stay away from reds with green.
Also, check out the Neutrals on the Dulux card.
i have apple white in my lounge *=(with green, grey, black stuuf). Best decision i made.
it looks nothing on chart or even when you open the tin, but ionce on the four walls it's the merest hint of golden deliciousness!
oh, and in my bedroom and kitchen i have 'gallery white' which is the palest of greys - very neytral, very fresh but not stark.
I have a pale green carpet and apple white crisgal, its lovely :)

Who makes gallery white? it sounds just lovely.
it is lovely, many people have asked me what it is.
I've got Victorian Lace off-white throughout my house - just off-white, goes with anything.

I would love to invite all you around when the job is finished, but there are some places (bedroom) I like to keep private!
I went to B&Q to look for tester pots; all I can say is that the staff there have developed the skill of avoiding eye contact and no, I couldn't find a tester pot for Gallery Grey. I used my skills of intrigue and detection to establish that they don't stock that colour any more , so I have to find another Crown supplier.
Thanks for all your help. Will let you know update (if you're interested).
PS. I have Apple white in the kitchen - love the freshness.
Many paint shops can still mix up colours now not stocked, annemollie - I got my Victorian Lace mixed at Homebase after it went off the colour charts. They still have the recipe.

I am going to try an independent retailer tomorrow for a tester pot in Gallery White to see how it looks. I have also got tester pots for a company called Craig and Rose in Adam Cream and Pale Mortlake Cream.
B&Q seems to have lost its way; customer service is awful, and the nearest Homebase is about 40 miles away.
