try ceramic hob cleaner as it doesnt scratch
I've had a set for 26 years - they all seem to develop discolouration of the inside enamel over time, not a lot to be done, but you should limit cleaning to soaking and soft scouring eg a plastic scourer of washing up brush. Do not allow your partner to scrape off hard-baked cheese with a sharp knife. Ever. I've got reservations aout putting them in the dishwasher but they seem to cope with it.
Mosaic, you have beaten my 21 years (wedding present by any chance?!) Your advice is spot on and just what I do with mine. Some of my handles are a little scorched but it all adds to the charm.Brilliant pans.
Not wedding present Barb - present to self just before having child no1, after seven years of marriage. £70 for three pans and an oval casserole, all with lids. Man, you could eat for weeks on that much back then.....
I got rid of mine, I loved them but they were just too heavy - if I filled the big one with potatoes and water, I couldn't lift it!
Hi mosaic, wow you would have sent yourself into labour lifting that lot! We got 3 pans and lids from 3 different people as wedding pressies.Still going strong...stronger than the marriage really!! Boxy,I know what you're saying, they are incredibly heavy.I don't use the big one that much.
Mine were bought in 1985, so now 26 and still going strong........the large casserole and serving dishes.
I get mine clean by leaving to soak overnight wih a dishwasher tablet or biological soap powder dissolved in boiling water.
