Decorating...

Today my OH has started decorating the kitchen...
I hate it, it causes soo much stress, for him & me I don't think he should be doing
it (after all he will be 80 next year) it will be nice I know when its finished but with his arthritis & giddy spells I know he will suffer.
We can afford to get a man in to do it but OH poo-poo's the idea. He still thinks he's 39.
I'm not looking forward to the swearing, shouting (when something goes wrong) complaining etc etc etc...

Does anyone else have these probs when OH is decorating? I've tried to talk him out of it but to no avail.

Well thats the 1st day over, mind you he did about 2 hours then fell asleep in the chair. (I rest my case)

We always get someone into do our decorating.

We used to try to do it ourselves but we would end up arguing and falling out and it never looked 'right'. We would rather pay someone else, than go through all that stress.

Jem, I'll come round and do it for you, I am very good at shouting and swearing whilst decorating :-)

You will worry.....but....as with all males, just let him do his thing if you can...theres nooo telling them is there!!!

Yep, re-grouting jem, that's aways good for a laugh.

Yesterday (3rd day) grouting went well I think.

Today - painting, done the woodwork & ceiling, started on wall colour, (dropped roller) but only a few sh*** so far...
