The gas fires in the local gas shops have a terrific flame but when I got one installed the flames are practically non existent. The heat coming from the fire is about correct meaning that the gas pressure is OK but why haven't I got big flames.
Thanks

What's the make and model, Porkers? Perhaps there's something in the literature about possible adjustment.

Its a Valor Homeflame Dream Gold Gas Fire. Maybe it has to be adjusted but in that regard I am clueless. Thanks for any help.
Well, apparently, Porkers, there's just one control knob/lever to set the pilot light and adjust the flame settings.............. I would suggest you have a fiddle :o) The worst that can happen is that you put the fire out ;o(

The Builder, I will do a bit of "fiddling" as you suggest. If I blow up the house will you be on hand to "build" a new house.
Thanks for help.
