Any Idea How Much A New Boiler Costs Fitted

We nee a new boiler fitting. Our boiler is 8 years old and has sprung a leak. The plumbers says we need a new heat exchange and new seals and it will be £250. The boiler is a cheap boiler that the man we bought the house off had fitted so we thought we should bite the bullet and get a new boiler . It is an Ideal Logic plus 30 that we have been quoted for and he says £1300 Doe sthis sound about right?

Yep....sounds about right to me....our boiler's going to need replacing soon....it's 17 years old now.

Had my Combi replaced 2/3 years ago. It is a Worcester green star 28 (I think). It cost £1500 which also included a new gas pipe to meet regulations. So yes your quote us about right.

Recently had to sort a replacement for one of our rentals, cost £1350, so your quotes not bad.

Had a Worcester Bosch fitted before Xmas, cost £2,300. British gas wanted £3,400 & that was including 20 per cent off the boiler!

BT is big bucks. Best part of £3000 I think.

I mean NOT using BT .
Eight years ago had quote from nice BT engineer. He left quote/specs for replacement. But got new Worcester/Bosch combi boiler for £1000 less than BT quote.
Doubt that replace ment now would be any less than £3000.

This is a good price. On seeing this post I asked my hubby as we had a new boiler fitted 2 years ago and it cost us over £3000.

If that's the installed price, Mac, then go for it. Average is £2,000 to £2500.
Yours must be a quite simple job then.

The heating people I use fit Ideal Logics as their preferred choice. :o)))
