Washing Machine - Has Stopped Automatically Spinning Etc At The End Of Cycle.
14 Answers
I wee while back i washed a thin rug in the washing machine (just the type thats like a throw, not a thick carpetty type)
it fit in the machine fine, however when it got wet it weighed a tonne, it spinned so hard that the machine just stopped and didnt drain, and the rubber seal round the door seemed to move and is now a bit kind of twisted.
after about 20 mins, it started working again.
however it washes fine and spins fine ... but it wont do it automatically - it just washes, and then i have to go and turn the dial to the spin cycle.
i dont think its the distorted door seal itself thats the problem - it is only a bit and still seals fine etc - and as i say both cycles work fine individually.
any ideas why this has happened and what i can do about it?
thanks

Is there is a sock or nylon caught in the filter etc - at the bottom of the machine etc. In my case it was pair of knickers. Have a look there. There is a little flipper at the bottom of the machine

after reading through all of rest of the online manual and looking on their site etc.
it seems there are a couple of cycles that have a delicate spin, so i suppose they may appear to have not spun much, and one that doesnt spin at all, and theres an anticrease function that lets the washing sit and soak in the water for a bit - i guess this could be what it is.
ive not noticed it before, but then i probably just took the stuff out and put it in the dryer or something.
i will also check the filter etc too - though it claims to have a self cleaning filter and need no maintenance
thanks everyone
