Floor Steam Cleaners

I’m thinking about buying one of these.
Anyone got one which they really, really like and wouldn’t change for anything else?
Do you have one (which one?) but wish you’d bought a different one with different features?
Have you got one and think it’s a total waste of money and wish you’d stuck with a mop and bucket???
It’s for cleaning the kitchen and utility room tiled floors but probably the inner and outer hall too, which are more than likely going to be changed quite soon for wooden flooring.
I’d really appreciate any and all opinions. Thanks.

The floor dries quicker, using steam, and won't spill all over the floor if you knock them over.

If you are planning to use it on wooden floors, make sure that you get a suitable floor.

It’s probably not proper wood, just looks like parquet flooring but much cheaper, so I imagine a steam cleaner won’t hurt it..probably.

We have a Dirt Devil one which works fine on both laminate and Karndean tiles.
Cheap and cheerful.

ethandron, its the cheapo ones that may not stand the steam....some do and some blow.

I just sweep, vacuum and then use the old fashioned mop and bucket with really hot water and a dash of fairy liquid

I have a Vax. It does a grand job and is simple to use, it can also be used to clean the windows, inside and out, it does a grand job of that too. I wouldn't be without it.
