I was watching a television programme that shall, to avoid spoilers, remain nameless. The violent, dangerous, criminal escapes custody and is picked up by his cohorts and dropped off in a remote area at a 'safe house' situated in a quiet, narrow street with old fashioned terraced houses either side - a bit like Coronation Street only more remote. He knocks but finds no one in, so he bangs loudly on the door - and then takes himself round to the back and thumps on that door too. The householder turns up and they go inside.

Now, that doesn't sit well with me because his escape had made national news and in a street like that everyone would know everyone, curtains would be twitching, and anything beyond the norm would be noticed - so I wouldn’t have thought it the best place to avoid detection.

Now, the question is if you were of a criminal mind and had friends in low places on the run from the law, where would you hide them?

Just something a bit different to natter about.
