Cold shower - HELP!!!
4 Answers
I've recently moved into a rented flat, but am having problems with my shower it never gets really hot only luke warm, which isn't very fun in this weather! All the other hot water taps in the house get really hot and our boiler seems to be fine (we've recently had it serviced) we've tried stopping the flow of water to some of the radiators (our landlord thought it might help) but the shower is still only luke warm. The shower head pipe is pinned to the wall and so I can't move the head down too far to find out if it's a problem with height. Has anyone got any ideas of how to get it hot??? I'll try anything!

On electric showers the water uses cold water only so stopping the flow of water to your radiators is a waste of time as they are on a different water system altogether.
The cold water enters the shower unit which has an element inside, this heats the water up. I would hazard a guess that it is this unit that is on its way out.
The landlord seems to me to be fobbing you off but I don't know the law as to whose responsibility it is to replace it. Good luck.
