What's an effective way of deterring a cat from new leather settee's?
Bearing in mind this cat LOVES leather shoes, jackets, bags etc and "kills" them when given the opportunity!
Lemon soap? Lion manure? - Might be able to source the soap easily enough, but the manure...!
Any suggestions gratefully received!

Soak the brute when he strikes and after a while he will get the message.
Lion manure might stain the carpets - but it is always worth a try. Could also deter human visitors so don't pile it up too high around the sofa.
Cats are evil, devious, manipulative little monsters who play with their food and crap in other peoples gardens - and perhaps that is why we love them so much.
Cheers Wolf - Will pass those suggestions on - It's my Aunt's cat - Think it may have an identity disorder as it was raised with a rottweiler who used to carry it around... Definitely not a normal cat! Bites at will when you stroke him, "wags" its tail, fetches items etc...
Not sure he's long for this world anyway, God bless him, he must be nearly 20 human years old, although I do have a soft spot for him, despite the injuries he's inflicted on me in the past!
Not sure Aunty would have the heart to soak him, though will most definitely pass the suggestion on!
