I went laminated in the living room in November (but feeling better now ha ha), we recently purchased a rug(wifes finishing touch) which slips n slides all over, does anyone know of a non permant product (nailing or glueing is not an option) that will hold it in place but leave it easily moveable to clean the floor? we dont want to use tape either just in case it marks the floor.

http://www.kleeneze.co.uk/main-book/index.html Home ideas page 101 at the top right rug holders. You dont have to buy it from here but its what you need.
I saw some anti slip rug thingys in Ikea recently. You just put them under the rug and can be taken up easily for cleaning etc.

Sorry don't know what they are called you know Ikea its probably something wierd like a rugenstrangler or something.

When I saw the heading I thought I was Bruce Forsyth asking for advice:) sorry couldn`t resist. Well it is New Year so forgive me:(
there is a solution that is sprayed on the floor and this i believe has a mild adhesive. alternately, there is something that gets sewn unto the rug. go to your local hardware shop, they can help.
