Am getting a new kitchen and like one in B&Q. They sell speedstone granite (15mm veneer over chipboad or similar) but this is pricey at 750 per 3m as opposed to gloss laminate at 65. am worried with 15mm veneer that it could chip and so wondering about the extra money and whether I might as well just stick to laminate? Iv'e got 30mm solid granite worktops which I believe (being a kitchen fitter) are the ultimate in worktops, and are templated and fitted by specialists for much the same price as you have been quoted by B&Q for a poor substitute.
