i'd go for turquoise with little splashes of orange, say turquoise walls and cushions and throws with an odd orange cushion, orange vae/ornament etc. When i say orange i don't mean tango, i mean i nice burnished orange. Ok it might sound horrid but trust me have seen a room done in these colours and t was awesome
Here in the states-its an absolute turquoise for an up and coming "hot'' color--and not a soft pastel shade either !
Bold and vibrant--the orange is an interesting idea...I see
it mostly with a shade of green...lime...you all have probably
thought of this combination already...try it at the paint store with little samples...

i have an idea why not have a raspberry red on the feature wall n a soft cream on the over walls im sure it cant get that grubby. we have this and we have 3 dogs and i have one older sister and a boyfriend that pretty much lives here. our walls dont get grubby. Or just warn your kids that the walls CANNOT get dirty otherwise hell will break out lol. hope this helps
